Can a learner driver be insured on a lease car?
Yes, The Green Insurer can offer learner driver insurance on a lease car. As the learner driver policy is separate from the cars primary insurance policy, it does not affect the main primary policy, whether it is through the lease company or from another insurance provider.
If you are uncertain about the terms of your car lease, then it may be worth checking with the whoever provides the lease for your car first. Although we cannot advise on any terms in your car lease, they are probably going to be fine with you taking out learner driver insurance, so long as you have full comprehensive cover in place (which is what our learner driver insurance provides).
Just remember that you will need a full annual car insurance policy in place too, to cover the main drivers of the car. Our learner driver policy will only cover the learner driver, and it ends as soon as they pass their driving test.
